I'm a writer, based in Dublin. Most of my work has been in theatre, principally with Rough Magic, and now I also regularly write episodes for the RTE soap, Fair City. Occasionally, I'll make an opera libretto. A lot of my work for stage has involved a musical element. Also detectable are traces of politics, parody and fantasy. I've been a member of Aosdána since 2020.
I've put some samples of my work up on this site, sticking to lyrics, because I think a self-contained lyric reads better than out-of-context dialogue. For in-context dialogue, some of my plays are published and available to buy (or to produce, should you feel inclined...)
